Volunteer participation of international students in outreach projects

Given the potential of university outreach in strengthening the social dimension of internationalization, as well as the contributions that international students can make to UFSC’s outreach projects, the Office of International Relations (SINTER), in partnership with the Prorectorate for Outreach and Extension (PROEX), launched the project “Participation of international students in outreach projects” which aims to enable and promote the participation of incoming exchange students in UFSC outreach projects.

The Catalogue of Outreach Projects for International Students in the Incoming Exchange Program presents the projects in which undergraduate exchange students may participate as volunteers in 2026.

There are nearly 60 projects across different fields of study, offering international students the opportunity to engage with Brazilian society, strengthen UFSC’s social mission, and promote the Brazilian public university model internationally.

Participation is voluntary (unpaid) and students will receive a certificate confirming their hours of participation in the project.

To participate, international students must contact the respective project coordinators via the email address provided in the catalogue and sign a volunteer work plan.
